QI Group | Breast Cancer Awareness: Together We RISE

In 2022, it is estimated that about 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women will be breast cancers. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer became the most common cancer globally as of 2021, accounting for 12% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide. This October, the QI Group rises in solidarity with all who have suffered and are still fighting breast cancer. Whether you proudly wear a Pink Ribbon in honour of a friend, remind a loved one to schedule their annual check-up for mammograms or ultrasounds, donate to breast cancer foundations and research groups or even volunteer to spread awareness, every effort will bring a significant impact to all those around you. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we’re spotlighting our colleagues who share some tips and reminders to help spread awareness, educate each other and, most importantly, how to detect breast cancer early.
