Hi everyone, in this updated video I show you how to make a cute mouse cake topper. My little mouse is made entirely from white Saracino Modelling Paste. Below is a list of all the items that I use in this tutorial. I coloured the paste grey by adding a tiny amount of black food colouring paste. You don’t need to add much, I use a toothpick to add the colour and knead it into the paste, until I get my desired shade. You need grey for the body and a slightly lighter grey for the belly. I also used food colouring pastes to make the blue and pink colours too. As usual, I have included a list of all the items and tools used in this tutorial at the bottom of this description. Also, as with all my tutorials, I use clear alcohol to stick my little mouse together, but you could always use an edible glue. Saracino modelling paste takes a while to set, giving you more time to sculpt your models. This is perfect for our little mouse, as you will have more time to mould the legs out of the body. You should also be able to shape and adjust the finished model before it’s fully set. PLEASE NOTE Be sure to let the recipient of the cake topper know that there is a piece of spaghetti in the middle for support. I create all my cake topper tutorials from scratch and try to make them as easy as possible, while using the minimum amount of tools. I often try to adapt and use equipment that you may already have in your kitchen! All the tools used in this video are listed below.
