It's an obscure and rare rag from Columbus, Ohio, published by Buckeye Music Publishing in 1916. I never would have heard this one, and many others, if not for the efforts of one individual from France, "Ragtime" Dorian Henry. An extraordinary collector of rare ragtime and novelty scores, no other person has brought so many pieces into the online community that otherwise never would have been heard. Yet I think we take his work for granted, as well as the extraordinary amounts of research into the ragtime era by "Perfesser" Bill Edwards. It's time to say thank you, for everything you do to promote ragtime. As for the composer Omar L. Sims, thus far Musescore researcher Erlingl has found nothing beyond this rag. The name could be a pseudonym or that of a forgotten musician. But he certainly could write a decent rag!
