Painting With Thread: Name Embroidery on Canvas Part 1

Today I started on a new project. Embroidering on canvas that had a design drawn out and then covered with hot glue to raise up the design a bit from the flat background. It was then painted over with black paint to help make the colors of the embroidery thread pop. I feel like this could really be done in any color that would work well with your thread color choice. After the paint dried I started to sew. I am using a stitch similar to a satin stitch. This is something similar that I saw another artist do and I wanted to attempt to make one. Since this is my first attempt at this I am sure mistakes will be made but that is part of the learning process.
