Columbus, Ohio weather forecast for March 17, 2026 | Lingering wintry weather, slick roads

​Following a stormy start to the week, cold and wintry weather has poured back into the region for Tuesday morning! Snowfall overnight has lead to slick spots and some black ice around the region early Tuesday. Make sure you are using caution on the roads this morning and throughout the day today as temps are expected to remain below freezing. Expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered light snowfall through the day. Highs will reach to around the upper 20s and low 30s this afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the low-40s Wednesday, with a quick sprinkle or flurry possible. This warming will continue into Thursday, with highs pushing back into the 50s, but with a better chance for rain. Scattered showers (and maybe an early flake of snow) will be possible throughout the day. By the end of the week, we will begin to feel warmer again. We can expect highs back into the 60s on Friday and Saturday and potentially into the 70s for Sunday as well. A brief shower cannot be ruled out next weekend, but we appear to stay mostly dry at this time. Temps will fall once again by early next week.
