The event brought together thought leaders and advocates who shared insights into the growing crisis and discussed tangible solutions to support college students facing hunger. Moderated by Stefanie Austin, Executive Director of Global Chamber® Dallas, the session featured an inspiring panel of experts: Necole Floyd-Turner, Founder of Innovative Butterfly, LLC and Co-founder of The Floyd Turner Foundation, shared her work in addressing food insecurity and empowering underserved college students through scholarships and community partnerships. Stephanie Harris, LMSW, Dean of Basic Needs and Student Care at Dallas College, highlighted the innovative programs she leads to support students dealing with housing and food insecurity. Michael Walker, Young Global Leader at Global Chamber® Dallas, contributed valuable perspectives on the importance of community-driven solutions to support student success. During the session, the panel discussed actionable strategies to combat food insecurity, including resource distribution, community collaborations, and creating sustainable programs to ensure that no student goes hungry.
