Tuesday, according to DMK sources, Chief Minister M K Stalin made every effort to avoid the altercation in the House but was forced there by Governor R N Ravi. Top party sources claimed that the script for Ravi's speech opening the new Assembly session was prepared on January 6 and approved the following day. Another argument, however, broke out over the invitation to the Pongal celebrations at the Raj Bhavan purportedly lacking the state government logo. Many said that the invitation was blank save for the national anthem.
