Finding flow through the difficult years | Matt Schultz | TEDxReno

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. People who achieve greatness, DaVinci, Curie, Coltrane , struggle through what we call "The Difficult Years", a long period of self apprenticeship lacking great achievements or discovery before achieving greatness. Matt speaks of his own experience in learning to incorporate "Flow" help push forward through the difficult years to establish the skills to chase down greatness. Matt is the Executive Director of The Generator, an experimental art and social space based around compelling people to create and invent in an open, inclusive, decommodified environment. Matt is also the Lead Artist for The Pier Group, an artist collective whose main focus is the creation of large scale art and the long term proliferation of art into our day to day lives. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
