This venerable icon opened its doors in 1941, and is the only still-standing casino that holds a spot on the National Register of Historic Places! El Cortez just unveiled a $20 million expansion that added 10,000 square feet to the casino floor, along with two gorgeous new bars: The Roulette Bar, and the ShowBar.
