The Minibase mod puts you on a tiny map with only a couple of geysers and you have a little bit of access to space. However resources are extremely limited. You will have to use a combination of critters and smart systems to get to perfect sustainability. Also if you want space access be prepared to give up about 15% of your entire map and be prepared for the masses of heat you will unleash.
