Hollywood Sign | Griffith Observatory | Santa Monica & Venice Beach | Los Angeles & Disneyland 2022

Welcome to our first full day of the trip! Today we embraced the jetlag and were up before dawn. We had planned on seeing the sunrise from Griffith Observatory, but arrived slightly too late due to getting lost driving through the Hollywood Hills! But we still had some stunning views to take in! Afterwards we took the short drive back down to Lake Hollywood Park. This is actually a dog park, and a very popular place for people to get their Hollywood sign photos without the effort of hiking too far! We were surprised to see the place really quiet - just a few locals walking their dogs and the odd tourist swinging by for a selfie. It was still early after this so we popped back to the hotel to indulge in the continental breakfast that is included with our room, before hitting the road for Santa Monica. We had a fantastic time and both Santa Monica and Venice Beach and actually wish we had devoted the whole day to it! Both places had such a great vibe (Venice Beach was definitely a bit more 'colourful'), we really enjoyed our visit. We had to head back in the evening because we had a 'Haunted Hollywood Walking Tour' booked. This was a great tour down Hollywood Boulevard, all about the murders, crimes, and spooky goings-on that have occurred. Tales of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and lots more aswell as some more general Hollywood history, it was amazing! Thanks for watching!
