Using four Velcro fasteners, you can adapt the orthosis flexibly to different anatomies and degrees of swelling. The single-part shell keeps the thumb joint reliably immobile. Pollex Pro offers excellent reinforcement on both the dorsal and palmar surfaces, as well as between the thumb and index finger. The wrist and the remaining fingers remain freely mobile. Thanks to the three Velcro fasteners on the thumb, putting on the Pollex Pro is a virtually painless Process since the orthosis can be opened up all the way. A Velcro fastener with an adjustable strap and micro-fastener holds the orthosis above the wrist. The skin-friendly material is washable and offers excellent wearing comfort. If required, use Pollex Pro in combination with the OPED hand orthosis OPTIVOhand, which will also enable you to immobilise the wrist. The fingers also remain mobile with this combination. Pull the wrist strap to its widest setting. How to use ● Insert the hand into the orthosis. ● Push the shell into the correct position between the thumb and index finger. ● Close the Velcro fasteners on the thumb. Start with the middle fastener. ● Close the wrist strap. ● Shorten the wrist strap as necessary: Remove the micro-fastener, shorten the strap, re-attach the micro-fastener. Note: If necessary/when swelling reduces, tighten the Velcro fasteners.
