The 1970s was the mid point of the Golden Age of Action figures. GiJoe, the staple of the 60s moved aside for Superheroes and pop stars made by the MEGO toy company. One of the most coveted sets was rock band KISS. Never before was a toy like this made. It created controversy and struck fear into the hearts of bible thumpers. Imagine a boy playing dolls with these Kinights In Satan's Service? I remember these in the rec room of the house, they would have belonged to my Uncle who was older and loved the band. I liked them alot and used them with my 12 inch Star Wars figures. A decade ago on a visit to St Marks Comics in the lower east side of NYC I found the set still boxed. I snatched them up immediately and in doing so spent my budget for the weekend. Good thing there are ATMS.
