Learn the rules to the board game US Checkers quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. Don't own the game? Buy it here: https://buy.triplesgames.com/uscheckers https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2... RULES: The object of the game is to capture every opponent piece. Lay out the board and each player picks a color. Players sit across from each other and place their pieces on their first three rows of the darker colored squares on the board. If your pieces have a crown on one side, place your pieces crown side down. The player with the darker pieces goes first, then turns alternate. On your turn you must move one of your pieces diagonally from one square to an empty square of the same color in a forward direction towards your opponent side of the board. Your pieces may not travel backwards. If an opponent's piece in the way but the space in a straight line beyond that piece is available, then you must jump over that piece to the empty space and capture it, removing the captured piece from the board. If you have an available jump, you must jump it, even if you don’t want to. If multiple jumps are available, then you may pick which jump to perform. You may not jump your own pieces and you may not jump more than one checker. If after jumping, your jumping piece is in a position to jump again, then you must make another immediate jump until there are no more available jumps left for that piece. When one of your pieces makes it to the other side of the board, then your piece gets a promotion and becomes a king. To indicate this, immediately stack a previously captured piece of the same color on top of the promoted piece or flip the promoted piece over to reveal the crown side. King pieces are allowed to move backwards and forwards. Kings may be taken like any normal piece when jumped. The first player to capture all their opponent's pieces wins. If it is your turn and there are no legal moves available for you to make, then you lose.
