CCP4 SW2020 - Whats new - DIALS 2.0: from images to MTZ files - speaker: David Waterman

The release of DIALS 2.0 includes a number of new features, most notably a new scaling program and improved symmetry determination tools. It is now possible to perform complete data reduction - from images to merged MTZ files - all within DIALS. Tools for multiple-crystal analysis have also been improved substantially within DIALS/xia2. These major new features will be introduced. In addition, lower-level changes that improve consistency of file formats, output, and the robustness and speed of the code will be briefly described. These developments reflect the growth of the project. As DIALS has matured we have adopted numerous tools for improving code quality and maintainability. In the spirit of open-source collaboration, all issues are publicly logged and third parties are welcome to get involved. DUI, the user-friendly graphical user interface to DIALS, has been updated alongside DIALS 2.0. The new features will be briefly introduced and users are encouraged to attend the DUI Lunchtime Bytes session to find out more.
