Dr Jordan Peterson - There's No Such Thing As A Dragon

This is one of seven short videos we produced of Dr Peterson talking about various relics and holy objects that he very generously gave to me to collage into my portrait of him that I began painting when I was there. I completed the painting in my studio back in Scotland and embedded Near Field Communication tags next to each object. Viewers can hover their smart phone near the NFC tag and object to trigger the video and find out what it is and what it means to Dr Peterson. Additionally, I use augmented reality technology and viewers can scan the painting with the free app CreativMuse to engage the AR features and watch a video of Dr Peterson discussing why one should not ‘carelessly denigrate social institutions or artistic achievment’ – a critique of both the left and the right.
