In this episode of my A Different Way of Seeing podcast, I share my personal story of growing up with type 1 diabetes and how it caused my blindness and subsequent chronic kidney disease. I talk about starting dialysis and my eventual hope for a kidney transplant. Switching to the other side of the microphone for a change, and under the guidance of friend and colleague Jeremy Opperman, I share the story in the hopes it may be useful to other diabetics, others who are blind, and anyone experiencing dialysis as a result of chronic kidney disease.
