In this short math video we will answer a standardized math test question by identifying patterns in a scatter plot. We will review and learn about outliers, clusters, positive linear association, and negative linear association. We will learn that an outlier is a data point that lies outside the pattern of data items. A cluster is a group of data points that is typically separated by a gap. Positive linear association will be in the form of a line increasing from right to left. Negative linear association will be in the form of a line decreasing from left to right.
