Encore ＃2 - the Somerville Gentlemen's Band concert on 21st September 2019 at the Bridge House Theatre, Warwick - celebrating the 40th anniversary of the recording of the band's LP, "Far From Home". It is with great regret that this was the last time the six Somerville Gentlemen performed together. In March 2019 after a rehearsal, Phil, Jem, Peter and Ted all contracted Covid-19. Sadly, Ted succumbed after a long battle and passed away in hospital on 4th April. The remaining band members dedicate this performance of our farewell song to the memory of Gentleman Edward Tudor Crum. What an incredible night it was - very emotional for the six guys who make up the Somerville Gentlemen's Band. There's about 250 years of playing and singing experience on view here! A HUGE THANKS to the wonderful audience, old friends and new friends alike, who made this an unforgettable experience for the band and helped to make a dream come true. For one very special night, 40 years seemed to have passed in an instant. For us it was a dream come true. We made it happen! Thank goodness we did it when we did!
