Never Hike Alone 2 - • Never Hike Alone 2: A Friday the 13th Fan ... In 2017, writer/director Vincente DiSanti and his team at Womp Stomp Films presented the world with a fifty-three minute Friday The 13th fan film, titled Never Hike Alone. In 2020, Womp Stomp Films presented a thirty-one minute prequel to Never Hike Alone, titled Never Hike In The Snow. And in 2023, Womp Stomp Films concluded the Never Hike Alone saga with the seventy-two minute sequel, Never Hike Alone 2. Overall, all three films clock in at a whooping one hundred-fifty six minutes, including sixteen minutes of end credits; TWO HOURS and THIRTY SIX MINUTES overall. As a fan of Friday The 13th, and an admirer of what the people of Womp Stomp Films were able to make these past seven years, I've given myself the challenge of editing all three fan films together into one LONG feature film that I would call the LEGENDARY CUT. As of now, this Legendary Cut hasn't been released, but as of June 15th 2024, it clocks in a bit under TWO HOURS and THIRTY ONE MINUTES. While the sixteen minute end credits have been reduced to about seven or eight, additional segments from Womp Stomp's The Ghost Cut, such as Disappear and Press Conference, were included as well. Through this process of making the Legendary Cut, I found myself experimenting and removing bits, pieces, and even entire scenes from these three films. All of this was not in an attempt to undermine the work of Womp Stomp Films, but rather an experimental attempt to see how much could be removed while keeping most of the main story and character arcs intact in a digestible feature film length. Presented here is that attempt, with overall forty-one minutes of these three films removed. The sixteen minute long end credits have been reduced to little over three minutes and thirty seconds in this version. While the Disappear segment was removed, the Press Conference segment was kept in to provide closure to the film's lengthy cold opening, pun intended. As this video is titled the Theatrical Cut, the mindset I had while making this version of the project was to edit together a film that a general audience member could easily follow; a film that someone with little to no knowledge of Friday The 13th lore and/or the history of fan favorite characters like Tommy Jarvis and Rick Cologne would enjoy. Whether or not if I have succeeded in this task is up to the masses to decide, pending that this video doesn't get blocked in particular regions/countries, and pending I don't get cease and desists from the current rights holders of the Friday The 13th franchise, let alone cease and desists from Vincente DiSanti and Womp Stomp Films for releasing this fan edit. This fan edit is a non-profit piece with no desire of financial gain. This is simply the work of a Friday The 13th fan, an admirer of Womp Stomp Films' work, who wants to share their appreciation for these films and share the work put into this fan edit with other fans on a platform with easy access for those to watch it. As for the Legendary Cut of this project, it is completed, but plans as of now is to release it on YouTube as early as July 4th 2024. So anyone interested in seeing an almost uncut version of these films put together, stay tuned and keep your eyes open on July 4th or a little bit later. For now, we celebrate Father's Day, as well as Jason Voorhees' belated 78th birthday, and enjoy his chaotic mayhem in The Never Hike Alone Theatrical Cut: A Friday The 13th Fan Edit. Thank you to those who took the time to read this lengthy description, and thank you to those who are taking the time to watch this video. I hope you all enjoy it. Happy Belated Birthday Jason!
