This began to get exhausting. I tried to compensate for some of those feelings and compete with that critical voice by adding a layer of false confidence and energy to my interactions with people; a pretence that became increasingly hard to maintain. At that point, isolation felt like the most comfortable option. I fully believe that everyone should be vocal about their mental health and I hope that this little offering helps people navigate a difficult moment by reaching out to someone and starting a conversation.
