In this video, I demonstrate a prototype that automates the MYGA renewal rate setting process using an AI-powered workflow. Renewal rate setting is a critical actuarial process that determines the crediting rate offered to policyholders once the surrender charge period ends. These decisions directly influence policyholder lapse behavior, asset retention, and spread profitability. Traditionally, this workflow involves multiple manual steps: • Data consolidation • Running actuarial models • Iterating with stakeholders • Producing documentation and memos The entire process can take several days or even weeks. In this experiment, I built an AI-orchestrated workflow using Claude Code that connects these steps together. The system automates: • Data retrieval • Renewal rate model execution • Documentation and memo generation What previously required multiple days of work can now be executed and archived in around 10 minutes.
