M.V. Balmoral from Penarth to Ilfracombe and Padstow and back in September 1996

We see M.V Balmoral arrive at Penarth Pier in September 1996 for a what was intended to be a two-day cruise to Padstow and the Scilly Isles. We leave Penarth in perfect weather and head down the Bristol Channel past Lynmouth and along the North Devon coast to Ilfracombe. Balmoral then continues along the coast to Padstow in rather more lively sea conditions. As we turn into the Camel Estuary we pick up the Padstow pilot and moor at Padstow Harbour. Unfortunately the planned onward trip to the Scilly Isles the following day had to be cancelled because of adverse weather. The final view is of Balmoral high and dry at Padstow the next morning.
