Ken calls in to tell James O'Brien that instead of 'rolling out the red carpet', PM Keir Starmer needs to stand up to Donald Trump. Citing Mark Carney and Barack Obama as styles of leadership he admires, Ken thinks Starmer should take some notes on how to stand up to a 'bully'. James O'Brien 'both agrees and disagrees', pointing out that in the short-term, the Starmer's pandering to Trump is in the UK's best economic interest. However James comes up with an example of a UK leader who has stood up to the Trump: London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Ahead of Trump's visit to the UK, Khan criticised the US President for his 'toxic form of politics', condemning those 'who seek to divide us. Ken urges global leaders to take a tougher stance with the US president, stating that 'collective action' is the only way forward.
