Monasteries, when they function as they are supposed to, are spaces protected and set apart for Me and the soul—alone. They are also places of tremendous spiritual battle." But Those wanting to be rich, fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains."
