Instead of building new, Gwen and Jacques decided to save this historic home and move it to their lot in Altadena. What followed was an incredible journey involving permits, logistics, neighborhood support, and a 26-mile trek through Los Angeles in the middle of the night. This house has been moved before - in the 1950s, pioneer businesswoman Alice Blackburn saved it from the 101 freeway construction and threw a legendary party inside while it was being moved, documented by Life Magazine. Now Gwen and Jacques are doing it again. Follow along as they document the entire process of deconstructing, moving, and rebuilding this century-old Craftsman home.
