This system includes: • 8-407 HS Low Gloss Clear Coat • 8-409 HS Semi Gloss Clear Coat • 8-455 HS Matt Hardener • 8-451 HS Matt Thinner These products can be intermixed to achieve different gloss levels from 0–60 Gloss Units (GU) depending on the required OEM finish. 🔹 Mixing Ratio (Standard TDS Method) 3 : 1 + 25% • 3 parts Clear mixture (8-407 / 8-409 blend) • 1 part 8-455 HS Matt Hardener • + 25% 8-451 HS Matt Thinner ⚠️ Gloss level depends on the mixing percentage between 8-407 & 8-409 before adding hardener. 🔹 Application Method (According to TDS) 1️⃣ Apply one half-open coat (approx. 8 inches distance) ⏱ Flash time: 15 minutes 2️⃣ Apply two medium wet closed coats ⏱ 20 minutes flash between coats ✔️ Film thickness & spray technique directly affect final gloss level ✔️ Drier/thinner application = lower gloss appearance 🔹 Spray Gun Setup • Nozzle size: 1.3 – 1.4 mm • Air pressure: 1.8 – 2.0 bar • Viscosity: 14 – 19 sec (DIN Cup 4 at 20°C) 🔹 Drying Times 🌡 Air Dry (20°C): 2–3 hours 🔥 Force Dry (60°C): 40 minutes 🌞 IR Drying: 15–20 minutes 🔹 For Plastic Parts (Alternative Option) For bumpers & flexible parts, 1-105 MS Clear Coat Matt can be used over BeroBase 500 or WaterBase 900+ systems.
