Welcome to 2026. This video we will study seven (7) potential resolutions we can practice in our daily lives to help us in our walk with Christ! 1. Are You in Control of Your Tongue and Fingers? (Speech & Words) • Proverbs 4:24 • Proverbs 12:18–19 • Proverbs 15:1–4 • Proverbs 11:13 • Proverbs 16:28 • Proverbs 18:21 Words have the power to heal or destroy—spoken words and typed words alike. Discussion Questions: • Which of these verses stood out to you most and why? • How do our fingers (texts, emails, social media) reveal what’s in our hearts? • Where do you struggle most: anger, gossip, sarcasm, silence, or harshness? 2. What Did You Just Say? Resolve to Be a Better Listener • Proverbs 18:13 • Proverbs 18:2 • Proverbs 29:20 • Proverbs 3:5–6 Wisdom listens before it speaks and submits understanding to the Lord. Discussion Questions: • Why is listening harder than speaking? • How does pride show up in the way we listen—or don’t? • How does trusting the Lord (Prov. 3:5–6) affect how we respond in conversations? 3. We Can Never Outgive God (Generosity) • Proverbs 11:24–25 • Proverbs 22:9 • Proverbs 19:17 • Proverbs 21:13 Generosity reflects trust in God, not confidence in possessions. Discussion Questions: • What fears keep people from being generous? • How do Proverbs connect generosity with blessing? • In what ways can generosity extend beyond money? 4. Toxic “Friends” and Godly Relationships • Proverbs 17:17 • Proverbs 27:9 • Proverbs 18:24 • Proverbs 12:26 • Proverbs 13:20 • Proverbs 22:24–25 • Proverbs 1:10–15 The people you walk with shape the person you become. Discussion Questions: • How can you tell the difference between a godly friend and a toxic influence? • Which verse best describes the friendships you currently have? • Are you being the kind of friend Proverbs describes? 5. Eye Spy with My Little Eye… (What We Feed Our Souls) • Proverbs 14:30 • Proverbs 6:25 • Proverbs 26:28 What we allow our eyes to dwell on shapes our hearts. Discussion Questions: • Why are the eyes so powerful spiritually? • What practical boundaries are needed today (screens, media, temptation)? 6. Being Corrected (Humility & Growth) • Proverbs 27:17 • Proverbs 9:8–9 • Proverbs 12:1 • Proverbs 13:1 • Proverbs 13:13 • Proverbs 15:32 • Proverbs 23:12 Wise people grow through correction; fools resist it. Discussion Questions: • How do you typically respond to correction? • Why does correction often feel personal? • How does humility open the door to wisdom? 7. How Lazy Are You? (Diligence vs. Sloth) • Proverbs 6:10–11 • Proverbs 14:23 • Proverbs 20:13 • Proverbs 20:4 Rest honors God, but laziness indulges self. Discussion Questions: • What is the difference between rest and laziness? • Where does procrastination show up in your life? • How does diligence honor God? Personal Reflection: • Which resolution do you most need to focus on this year? • What is one practical step you will take this week?
