Phrom Phong | EMDistrict & Sukhumvit Night Walk

An evening walk through Phrom Phong, starting near Sukhumvit Soi 39. The route is primarily along Sukhumvit Road within the EMDistrict plus a few of the busier side sois and alleys around EmQuartier. Today we are back in Bangkok in Phrom Phong's EMDistrict walking along Sukhumvit and our favorite busy sois and alleys here. This walk begins on Sukhumvit Road near Sukhumvit 39, turning north briefly and meandering through 37 Alley amidst the busy restaurants in the shadow of EmQuartier. From there, I walked along the bottom floor of EmQuartier, dipping briefly into the outdoor Water Quartier section of the mall to enjoy the decor for the seasonal market there. I continued on down Sukhumvit in the direction of Asok. At Soi 33/1, I walked through the loop next to Villa Market, where there were plenty of patrons enjoying their Saturday evening out at the bars in the soi. Then I was back out to Sukhumvit again, listening to the BTS overhead. I kept walking down Sukhumvit Road to the crosswalk next to El Gaucho, across from Sukhumvit 22 Alley and the Holiday Inn Phrom Phong. I waited to cross here for awhile, just watching the cars, busses and motorbikes zoom past. Eventually I was able to cross and I turned back towards Phrom Phong BTS station, walking under the lit trees in front of EMSphere. This is honestly one of my favorite parts of walking this route in Phrom Phong. I'm so happy to see they leave them up all year round. I paused in Benchasiri Park to enjoy the fountain show with EmQuartier towering in the background. Plenty of joggers were there, it was much cooler than earlier and they were getting their laps in. As I exited the park, I enjoyed a pair of young musicians entertaining everyone with a Jon Bon Jovi song. I climbed the stairs to the skywalk here. I finished the walk out in the space between EmQuartier and Emporium next to the BTS station entrance. Thanks for watching, and for being patient with my new-found pace of uploading.
