Police escort abnormal load of six MRI Scanner pods through Guildford & Woking causing traffic chaos

Surrey & Sussex police RPU - Roads Policing Unit can be seen here escorting a Abnormal load of Six MRI Pods to Woking Community Hospital, in this video you can see the pods making their last part of a 320 mile journey from Northumberland as they travel between Guildford and Woking (Surrey). Causing some traffic chaos on the A320 connecting the two towns. These pods had a police escort due to their extended widths, the pods where meant to be escorted across both Saturday and Sunday however, the Saturday convoy was cancelled causing a 6 pod convoy on the Sunday which can be seen in this video. Due to the width of the pods, signs had to be removed from the ground close to the Hospital to allow the pods to continue down the road. The Roads Policing unit used a few different vehicles all of which made by BMW, including two 530ds to hold traffic and one X5 G05 to lead the convoy as well as five bikes used to shut off the roads ahead of the convoy and clear traffic.
