During the Hijrah, she encountered the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه, and their companions in a time of famine. Despite having little, Umm Maʿbad showed hospitality, offering what she could. When the Prophet ﷺ miraculously milked her weak goat, she gave a beautiful and detailed description of him, recognizing his unique light and beauty. This encounter marked her and her husband's journey to Islām. The Prophet’s ﷺ barakah blessed her, as the goat continued to provide milk for years. Lesson: Generosity invites barakah, sincere hearts instantly recognise truth, and even the simplest homes are honoured by the Prophet ﷺ’s presence.
