9" Ford - The Complete Rear End: Pinion Yokes - 1350, 1310, 28 Spline & 35 Spline Pinions Explained

In this video, we show you some ‪@MoserEngineering‬ pinion yokes for the 9" Ford rear end center section. These are available in 1350 and 1310. At Redbird Speed, we like the 1350 because its bigger, stronger, and more adaptable to conversion U-Joints. The 1350 is much more compatible where you are adapting differing yokes and driveshafts. 1350 is great for new drive shaft construction because every driveshaft builder works in this very common size. Another feature discussed is the pinion spline count. Be sure you have the correct number of splines on the pinion stem so the yoke fits. A 28 spline pinion is most common in street gears. Many pro gears are big pinion 35 spline until you get numerically higher than 4.86 ratios and you start getting into small pinions. This is not always the case however. Be sure to check with the gear manufacturer or count splines to insure fitment.
