Black History on the air – KAZI radio, has served Austin’s Black community since 1982.

KAZI radio, “the voice of Austin,” is the city’s oldest radio station serving the Black community. Learn about its history from two of the station’s long time staff members. Austin InSight is a weekly news and feature program covering issues that impact central Texans and highlighting the region’s vibrant cultural and creative diversity. The 30-minute program, hosted by Laura Laughead, anchors a renewed commitment to public affairs content at Austin PBS.
