Cash-strapped Pak gives 'substandard protective gears' to its police; Probe ordered amid outrage

Two police officers were killed by unidentified militants in the Kohat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The most concerning element was that despite both cops having on bulletproof vests, they both died as a result of the bulletproof jackets being penetrated by gunshots. The latest incident has raised questions about the quality of the protective gear provided to the police force. Last week three police officers lost their lives in an IED attack on their armoured vehicle. The provincial police chief of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has now ordered an inquiry to check gears.
