The Korg SDD3000 is a delay unit with a built-in preamp. This preamp is unique, and used in almost every U2 song. Unfortunately the SDD3000 unit is quite expensive (over 1000 dollars), and only used for its preamp by The Edge and cover guitarists. Fortunately there are a lot of preamp clones on the market today, and this is one of them. Built by Dirk Hendrik (http://www.dirk-hendrik.com/). In this video I demo the preamp pedal, and its noticable effect on several U2 riffs. This pedal drives the amp a bit by pumping up the clean signal. This kind of preamp is a MUST for U2 cover guitarists, together with modulated delay, a compressor and a vox tone amplifier. I used my Korg A3 as mod delay and compressor.
