Why are some more inclined to engage with the non-dual teaching through the mind and others through the heart? And is it necessary to understand all these pathways to truth and their complexities? Rupert says: ‘There are all sorts of people with different inclinations and proclivities. Some are more intellectual or rational, some more heartfelt or devotional, and the artists amongst us go more through perception. So, there are three corresponding paths – and I feel that a good teaching is reasonably well balanced across these three approaches. ‘But for some, the teaching could consist of a single sentence: “Peace and happiness are the nature of our being, and we share our being with everyone and everything”.
