Weapon Mastery Haz 5 clear for the "Bulldog" Heavy Revolver on Juggernaut Gunner for the game Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. This was a one-shot clear. For this clear, I wanted to use no OP damage artifacts; specifically no Pickled Nitra, Squint-EE5, Gold-Tipped Bullets, MoCap, etc. Another fellow miner mentioned they were struggling with this one so I decided to run it. The Bulldog is regarded as one of the bad weapons in the game which I tend to agree with. I am not a huge fan of the weapon, as it's kind of boring. It just feels so inadequate next to other weapons. It could definitely use a buff in a future patch. For the build, I went High Caliber Rounds and Pan Fried Shells (fire) stable OCs at levels 6 and 12, and then the Double Barrel unstable OC at level 18. This made the Bulldog into a status effect weapon which, like the Minigun, I find to be a more capable build. It can still be built as a kinetic projectile (non-status effect) weapon with the other stable OCs and be just fine though. If you go kinetic based, I think the Lead Wrapped Ammo is the better unstable OC. Double Barrel is the better unstable OC for a status effect build because you apply double the fire stacks (since double bullets). The one stable OC that I do not care for is Reload Shield, especially for the Weapon Mastery where your focus should be on getting damage, not defense since you don't have other weapons. I intentionally avoided the OP damage artifacts, but I did take Piercing Projectiles which is still a great artifact. It's just not as good as the previously mentioned artifacts though. The other artifacts were Pop-up Tripod and Ancient Knowledge which were just picked just to show that this mastery is doable with mediocre artifacts. For playstyle, one thing to keep in mind against the elites and Dreads is to be up in their faces, especially if you are running the mastery with Juggernaut which has reduced range. You want the shots to be focused on them as much as possible. Juggernaut is tankier so don't be afraid to get close. Also, the twins can be maddening as the ranged twin will hang in the back so it's nice if you have decent piercing. If you kite the melee twin in a straight line, usually the ranged twin will line up and take damage as you fire at the melee twin. You can see this at various points in the video where I try to do this, not always with great success though. 😅 Rock and stone! 00:00 Stage 1 07:29 Stage 2 13:03 Stage 3 16:53 Boss Fight
