The gang used to steal RR units, batteries and other electronic devices from Jio and Airtel company mobile towers in Ghaziabad, Delhi NCR region, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh and sell them abroad at heavy prices On 26/01/2025, an active member of the said inter-state gang and declared desired/award from police station Wave City, vicious 02 accused Qasim and Goldie alias Farhan have been arrested from police station Wavecity area. Theft from mobile towers, 02 radio receiver unit and 04 baseband unit have been recovered from the arrested accused. The estimated cost is Rs 25 lakh. On the arrest of the arrested accused, DCP Rural Ghaziabad has already announced an award of Rs. On interrogation, accused Qasim told that he had studied till class 5, after which he had left studies and started working at his father's shop selling plastic items (buckets, tubs etc.) . Meanwhile, Qasim met a decree from Hindon Vihar, who told him about the RU, BBU and other equipment of mobile towers that there is a lot of profit in stealing and selling these devices. The decree introduced Qasim to Goldie alias Farhan, Sahil, Qayyum, Rahul, Zakir, Javed and Anas who used to steal RRU and other electronic devices from mobile towers. Goldie alias Farhan, when asked, said that he had left studies after studying till 12th standard and started making wooden furniture. It was the decree that introduced Goldie alias Farhan and Qasim to Zakir, Javed and Anas who used to steal RRU and other electronic devices from mobile towers. Our gang steals radio receiver units, batteries and other valuable equipment from mobile towers at many places in Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Ghaziabad, Noida, Delhi NCR and western Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, several important information has been received from mobile towers regarding radio receiver unit, battery and other criminals who stole valuable equipment. Based on this, teams are being formed to recover the goods and make efforts to arrest them. So far, 47 members of Gango, who were stolen from mobile towers by the Crime Branch, have been arrested and a huge amount of mobile tower equipment has been recovered from them. Certainly, such police action will prevent theft of radio receiver units, batteries and other valuable equipment from mobile towers in Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad and nearby areas.
