PLEASE READ!! I wasn't going to make this public, seeing as I'm working on a full length documentary on this same exact topic but my mother shared it on Facebook, it started spreading, and people seemed to quite like it so why not? I made this for my final for my video workshop class. The prompt was to create a 5-8 minute long snapshot of a person or community. Of course, my brother/my family was the first thing that came to mind. I was raised in a very special family with parents who not only accepted us for everything we were but encouraged us to be as wildly and fiercely ourselves as possible. My parents never told me I couldn't do something or be someone, they let me make my own decisions and be my own person. This held true with all of my siblings. And of course, when Luke came around, this idea of letting us be ourselves, gained a more powerful meaning. Luke is my world. He is my little brother and the absolute light of my life. You will get to hear and see all about him when the documentary is published (Most likely in 2018) but for now, enjoy this little snapshot of what it's like growing up with a family as absolutely extraordinary as mine.
