Resonating Landscapes 2023 by Unexpected Ensemble. Extract

Resonating Landscapes - an interdisciplinary art laboratory by the international artist collective Unexpected Ensemble and guest artists. We were a group of 10 artists from Australia, Finland, Sweden, France and Denmark exploring resonance as way to reconnect and re-member with ourselves, each other and the more than human. How can we in times of increasing crises create spaces for mourning and nurturing, for rebellion and new stories for the future? We created a work in progress ritual for new beginnings through listening, singing, dancing, crying and creating together. We created a space that smells of soil, leaves, compost and reeds. We combined performance, dance, music, video, soundscapes, lament singing, sculpture and installation. Our laboratory work was shared with 3 different groups that participated in this work in progress ritual. Thank you for the residency at Aabne Scene, Aarhus, DK in November 2023.
