They use simple chord shapes as much as possible and do not necessarily represent the way in which the song was originally played. They are designed as practice tools to supplement your other learning methods. Information is provided on screen for both right and left-handed players! Most NIN songs use all sorts of techniques to make the guitar parts sound weird. They may be sampled, altered and chopped up or played in all sorts of strange tunings. It's hard to know exactly what's going on, but this is designed to be simple to play and sound pretty close to the song. There are very few guitars in this song but when they do appear they have a lot of impact. The main part is the chorus which consists of power chords. The verses sound like it's just a synth playing the part, but I've adapted it for guitar. There is also an actual guitar part which appears during the 2nd verse which I've added on to the end.
