PBI probe report on actor Salman Shah accepted by DC | Bangladesh news | NewsRme

Yesterday, the probe report of a case tabulated over the death of actor Salman Shah was accepted in the Dhaka court. The order was passed by Md. Mamunur Rashid, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate after he declined a no-confidence petition tabulated by the defence. Last year on February 25th, an inspector of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Investigation officer Sirajul Islam submitted a 600-page probe report. It stated that Salman Shah died from suicide and was not murdered, and submitted it to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka. Shahriar Chowdhury Emon with the screen name Salman Shah was found dead on September 6, 1996 at his Eskaton Road residence at the age of 25. An unnatural death case was filed by his father later on. Later on in 1997, in the case, a man named Rezvu Ahmed aka Forhad was detained, who later withdrew his confession stated forth the police.
