FANS, "Mysteries of Fans and how to tame them". A video that started out as an idea for a 15 minute video and the deeper I dug, the more i discovered and needed to be said. I just wanted to show how to easily add 3 wire fans to your controller board, hot end, chassis, alas I failed and now its a detailed 2 part. Clarification, I'm retired so have lots of time to deep dive into rabbit holes etc. and for this I did. With over 3 weeks of extensive research, well over 150 hours of scouring datasheets, googling how to's, scanning manufactures forums, actual experiments with replicate 3D printer drive circuits and quite a few fans (And sacrificing a RP2040 to the gods for the sake of answers) and Noctua tech support responding to me I have now finished filming all the content came out way longer than originally intended (It was going to be just 15mins, ended up over 2 hours raw. Nuts and bolts of it all is BLDC Fans really are not designed to be power pwm'd , Linear variable DC yes, but within constraints you can get away with power PWM at your own risk.
