You are extraordinary. Or at least you can be. In the midst of an ever-expanding world full of seemingly impossible technological inventions, hot-topic celebrities, and fantastic feats of accomplishments that are beyond extraordinary, sometimes we can't help but feel as if our own, individual lives are just extra - ordinary. But surely, that's not the case. Right? Surrounding each and every one of us is a network of connections and interactions between every little thing in life that makes up who we are, what we do, how we live. It's Y.O.U. - Your. Own. Universe. Join Lorelei as she explores this original concept and delves into her Three Key Stages involved in refining the art of turning Y.O.U. into something extraordinary: Identify. Diversify. Glorify. Lorelei Tang is a distinguished scholar at Santiago High School. Enrolled in all AP classes and college courses, Lorelei is always up for a challenge and strives to be extraordinary. She was recently elected as the Inland Section president and California State vice president representing the Inland Section of Future Business Leaders of America. There, she leads her fellow officers and members to success and has won multiple awards at the section, state, and national levels. Lorelei is the president of multiple clubs on campus, including Partners in Health and Girl Up, the vice president of Mock Trial, and her school’s appointed Girls State delegate. Outside of school, she has won the title of national grand champion with her studio dance team, completed the highest level of the Certificate of Merit evaluation and competes as a pianist, and organized a project called “Cards for Connection” for senior homes and hospitals in her community. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
