Everything that could have been done to help her fight was done, she was simply not meant to stay with us. She lost 11 grams yesterday. She was given fluids, food, warmth and anything else that could possibly help. She knew love & warmth in her short time here. 4/23/2018: Quimby (Ramona's kitten) unfortunately passed away this morning. Rest assured everything possible was done. He wasn’t hungry, was warm & was with Ramona and Chloe. This is nature's way sometimes. 4/22/2018: Chloe's tortie tuxie has two holes in her palate (roof of mouth) that could make her aspirate milk (get fluid in her nasal passages and/or lungs which could be fatal) Tube feeding might be safest for now. Possible surgery when she's a lil older. 4/22/2018: Chloe gave birth to 5 kittens in the early morning hours. Chloe’s kittens weigh ins at birth: #1 1:47 am tortie(g) 95g | #2 2:03 am tortie(g) 82g | #3 2:52 am ginger(b) 89g | #4 3:29 am ginger(b) 82g | #5 3:57am tortie tuxie(g) 92g 4/19/2018: Rula unexpectedly popped out 3 kittens. 2 girls (tabby & panther), 1 boy (panther). Panther has contracture (tightening of leg muscles & joints) and will be okay with physical therapy. Active labor was not caught on cam because shelly had to be somewhere else and gwen was there in case of emergency. 4/18/2018: #3 Little Prince (Purple collar) did not make it. Everything that could be done was done to help him as much as possible. Unfortunately, not all kittens are strong enough to survive/thrive. Please take solace that the other 4 kittens are doing well. About 75% of kittens born in the wild do not make it, so they are still doing much, much better being taken care of by Tiny Kittens Society than they would be in the wild outdoors fending for themselves. And continue doing rescue work to help everyone we can! 4/18/2018: #3 Purple boy (Little Prince) might have failure to thrive or some other health issue. Shelly is bottle and tube feeding, weighing and keeping an eye as much as possible. 4/17/2018: Ramona goes from prelabor to active labor. 5 kittens! #1 boy, 109 grams / #2 boy, 97 grams / #3 boy, 99 grams / #4 boy 107grams / #5 girl 96 grams. All Mackerel Tabbies, 1 Mackerel Tuxie :) 4/3/2018: Rula, another pregnant mama cat to-be, from Happy Cat Forest was brought in today and will be in the maternity ward with Chloe & Ramona during their whole process. Everyone will be well taken care of. 4/2/2018: Gwen trapped Ramona from Happy Cat Forest. Ramona is also pregnant and Tiny Kittens Society will be taking care of her throughout her pregnancy and after. Ramona is Chloe's roommate. 3/29/2019: Lab results show Chloe has kidney issues & TK will treat her for her kidney issues alongside her pregnancy the best they can. She is in the best of care. 3/29/2018: Chloe is pregnant, still has about 2-3 weeks to go; x-rays and ultrasound were done, 4 heartbeats were seen. It's not the most accurate way to count kittens though, as they are squished in there already. Chloe's lungs looked a little inflamed. Vet is not concerned about Asthma. She started Clavamox(antibiotic) to help with any infection that may be in her lungs or due to her bad teeth. 3/23/2018: Chloe was brought in from the Happy Cat Forest because she looked pregnant and in need of other possible medication attention. Reality Rescue Cats/Kittens TV Besides the normal kitty behaviors of them looking adorable playing, sleeping, eating, wrestling with each other, squawking for their turn at their favorite nipple at the milkbar... You may see cats and kittens feeling sick, sometimes grumpy, hissing, scampy, etc. Do not worry, they are in the best of care with volunteer snugglers, vet techs and the best vets in the area!
