Firefighting planes on Tenerife have flown straight through wildfires as they attempt to get them under control on Thursday 17 August. Authorities have so far evacuated more than 3,000 people from areas of the island affected by the wildfires. Temperatures on the Spanish island are still expected to rise over the coming weekend, raising fears that the fires could worsen.
