A quick teardown of YLLVape's new IH 3.0: I'm doing this teardown as a courtesy to our customers at Soothing Vapours, who might be considering the 3.0, but would like a closer look at the internals. I'd encourage all retailers considering this IH to do their own independent teardowns. I'm sure YLL would be more than happy to replace some wooden top panels in order to heighten customer confidence. The frame is made of high-quality PA66 plastic, with Walnut wooden paneling, and a large 6063 aluminum heatsink under the hood to cool the PCB. The bottom edges are ventilated by design to allow for extra passive cooling. The ID of the glass insert is an enormous 18mm, leaving room to spare with even the Convector XL. At 100W, it takes about 28s for a one-and-done hit with the Tempest, which is fantastic, imo. All-in, this IH carries a lot of promise, and I have hopes that it will handle the task well... but time will tell. Disclosure: the IH 3.0 was provided to me by YLLVape at no cost. However, I am under no obligation to make content or promote it. I do not work for YLLVape, I am not an affiliate of theirs, and I stand to make no money from the sales of the IH 3.0.
