Piccadilly Circus station, opened in 1906 as part of the Baker Street and Waterloo railway in March 1906 and Great Northern, Piccadilly and Brompton railway in December 1906 (now the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines).. This station was part of a group that opened around the same time, with the Charing Cross branch of the Northern line being the other stations with the same architect, Leslie Green, with his distinctive Oxblood station and coloured tiling. Join us as we explore the abandoned tunnels on a Hidden London Tour of Piccadilly Circus. In 1941 over 150 crates were stored down here from the Tate collection & from the London Museum.
