A few months back I played around with the RAD2X Nintendo, seeing what it could do for SNES, N64, Modded N64s, and the GameCube. Now I want to see how the N64 experience compares to the 5X Pro when running Composite Cables, S-Video and even RGB Output from a Modded N64! Which solution is right for you would depend on your game consoles, as the 5X Pro supports a wide variety of inputs while the RAD2X family of devices are all built for specific consoles or series of consoles, some of which the RAD2X can grab onto the higher quality RGB Signals of, like a Modded N64, as seen in this video. *I added an example of the 5X Pro running in N64 320 Sampling during post, my thoughts in the video regarding the 5X are in regard to it running Generic Sampling. The N64 sampling mode really brings out the best of the N64 with the 5X, and is best if you like the “sharp” flavor of picture. *Important Call-Out: YouTube's compression does takeaway a lot of detail that is seen in person that devices like RetroTINK, RAD2X, CARBY, and more output. Bear that in mind with any content containing capture footage from those devices. My commentary and opinions come from the Raw Capture Files and what it looks like on my TV, I can't account for what details are lost to compression until after the video is uploaded.
