Mr. Ekoda doesn't make any sense to me. It just sounds a lot like he's condoning the bullying or he's got something else going on and can't afford to have his class looked at... In Persona 3 Reload, we will play as a male protagonist who has just transferred to a new school at the start of his second year of high school. Upon arriving something weird starts happening and he is sucked into the “dark hour,” an hour that occurs at midnight that normal people cannot partake of. During this hour, monsters called shadows appear to prey on humans, so along with his newfound friends, the protagonist must use his “evoker” to fight back and bring an end to the “dark hour.” The original Persona 3 came out in Japan in 2006, and the US in 2007. This game marked a departure from the original format of the Persona games and started the series down a new path that would eventually bring them to Persona 5. The social aspect of this game, or the social links (later referred to as confidants) are in my opinion what really sets the Persona series apart from the Shin Megami Tensei games. A later version of Persona 3 introduced a female protagonist and many new social links along with her when the game was made portable. As well as a new epilogue that was meant to tie any loose ends together. Unfortunately, Reload does not allow you to play as the female protagonist, and I do not believe many (if any) of those new social links made there way into this remake.
